Pax Mahle is one of the most exciting winemakers in Sonoma, crafting small-lot Syrah, Grenache, and other Rhone varieties with minimal intervention from extreme sites on the true Sonoma Coast. The wines are wild, complex, and utterly distinctive. The tasting room in The Barlow complex in Sebastopol is industrial-chic, and the pours are generous and conversation-fueled.
