Steve Kistler (legendary founder of Kistler Vineyards) started Occidental as a Pinot Noir focused project from extreme Sonoma Coast vineyards near the town of Occidental. The wines from sites like Bodega Headlands and Running Fence are extraordinary: delicate, perfumed, and hauntingly complex. These are among the finest Pinot Noirs made in California, crafted by a man who spent decades perfecting the art.
