Walter Schug brought Germanic precision to Carneros winemaking when he founded this estate in 1980. Born in Germany, Schug was one of the first to recognize the Carneros region potential for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Bavarian-style tasting room sits on a hilltop with views of the Sonoma Mountains, and the wines honor both his Old World roots and New World ambition.
