Sir Peter Michael (a British electronics mogul) created this estate on a volcanic ridge in Knights Valley, producing some of the most acclaimed wines in Sonoma. The Chardonnays (Belle Cote, Ma Belle Fille, Point Rouge) and Cabernets (Les Pavots, Au Paradis) are extraordinary. The estate is spectacularly beautiful, with vineyards cascading down volcanic hillsides. Visits are by invitation and rare.
