Donald Hess built a world class art collection and a world class winery on the same Mount Veeder property. The museum quality art gallery is free to visit and features works by Francis Bacon, Gerhard Richter, and other contemporary masters. The Mount Veeder Cabernet is structured and age worthy, and the estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from cooler sites are excellent. A cultural experience that goes beyond wine.
