About This Estate
The Van Staaveren family has been growing grapes in St. Helena since the 1940s, and Ballentine is one of those rare Napa estates that feels untouched by hype. The Zinfandel from century old vines is the star, but the Cabernet, Petite Sirah, and Chenin Blanc are all well made. The rustic tasting room is friendly and unpretentious, with some of the most reasonable prices in the valley.
