“The main street of American wine”
Highway 29 is the main artery through Napa Valley, running from the city of Napa through Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena, and up to Calistoga. The road passes some of the most famous names in American wine: Robert Mondavi, Opus One, Inglenook, Beringer, and Charles Krug. While it can be congested on weekends, the drive through the valley with vineyards on both sides is the quintessential Napa experience.
